This Winter Olympic will drive regional development from Beijing to Zhangjiakou, especially the less developed areas in Zhangjiakou. Zhang Chunsheng, the executive deputy director of Zhangjiakou, expressed that Zhangjiakou has four targets with the help of Olympic: upgrading industrial structure, creating a city of World Ice Sports Center, becoming a city of International Tourist Destination, and speeding construction pace of Renewable Energy Sources Model City.
